Vero Kompalic is a Venezuelan filmmaker and founder of DISCORDIA, a global production and exhibition company. Since its inception, DISCORDIA’s work has been recognized by festivals and institutions including Locarno, Tribeca, Sundance, SXSW, SFFILM, Film Independent, Berlinale, La Biennale, and The Gotham/IFP.

In 2023, Vero’s debut film, PLÁSTICO, premiered at the Locarno Film Festival, earning a Special Jury Mention. As a producer, her projects have screened at Tribeca, SXSW, Sundance, Locarno, DOC NYC, Habitar Cine, Short of the Week, Rooftop Films, and other international platforms.
